Order printed tickets

Order real, scannable paper tickets for general admission. Ticket-Worx prints them and mails them to you to sell by hand.

Who can do this: Owners, admins and managers.

Before you start

  • Create an upcoming event with at least one general admission ticket type. The event can still be a draft.
  • Check the ticket type has enough tickets left. Printed tickets come off the event's capacity as soon as you order.

Part 1Place the order

  1. 1Click Printed tickets in the dashboard sidebar.
  2. 2Read How it works. It shows today's printing price per ticket, the shipping price and how many days to allow.
  3. 3Choose the Event and the Ticket type in the Order tickets form. Each type shows its price and how many are left.
  4. 4Type a number in How many tickets. The smallest order is shown under the box.
  5. 5Pick a date in Needed by if you have a deadline. This is optional.
  6. 6Fill in the address under Mail them to.
  7. 7Add a note in Anything we should know, for example split into bundles of 50. This is optional.
  8. 8Check the Pay now total. It is the printing price shown on the order form times your quantity, plus shipping.
  9. 9Click the Order and pay button. It shows the total.
  10. 10Pay by card on the Stripe page that opens.

When you come back you see Order placed. Your tickets are live now and will be printed and mailed to you. You will get an email when they ship.

Part 2Track the order

  1. 1Click Printed tickets in the sidebar.
  2. 2Find the order under Your orders. Order numbers look like PT-00001.
  3. 3Read the Status: Ordered - being printed, then Printed - shipping soon, then Shipped.
  4. 4Look under Shipped for the carrier and tracking number, when there is one. You also get an email when the tickets ship.

Part 3Sell them and pay the fee

You sell printed tickets however you like and keep that money. It never passes through Ticket-Worx.

  1. 1Hand the tickets to your sellers, sponsors or outlets.
  2. 2Scan them at the door like any other ticket. Each one has its own QR code.
  3. 3Expect the Ticket-Worx per-ticket fee only on printed tickets that are actually scanned in. Unsold and unused tickets cost you nothing more.
  4. 4Look for that fee on your invoice after the event, together with any fees on cash sales.

The invoice is charged to your card on file if you have one. Otherwise you are emailed a link to pay online.

Tips

  • Order early. Allow the number of days shown on the form for printing and mail, and use Needed by to flag a firm deadline.
  • Only general admission can be printed. Reserved seats are sold online or at your box office.
  • Printed tickets are live from the moment you pay. Treat them like cash. Anyone holding one can get in.
  • A ticket type that covers specific days prints as one physical ticket for each day, the same as it does online.

If something goes wrong

Under the quantity it says only a certain number of this ticket are left on the event. Raise its quantity first, or order fewer.

Printed tickets count against the ticket type's quantity. Open the event, raise the quantity on that ticket type, then come back. Or order fewer.

The form says For more than a certain number of tickets, please contact us first.

Very large orders are arranged with Ticket-Worx directly. Contact Ticket-Worx before you order, or place a smaller order now.

You see You left before paying, so nothing was ordered.

The Stripe payment page was closed before paying. Nothing was charged and no tickets were issued. Fill in the form again.

You see That payment has not gone through yet. If you were charged, this page will catch up by itself shortly.

Do not order again yet. Check Your orders later. If your card was charged, the order appears by itself.
