Design your event page
Add a cover photo, a video and a countdown to your public event page, and give one event its own logo and colors.
Who can do this: Owners, admins and managers.
Part 1Add a cover image
- 1Click Events in the sidebar, then click the name of your event.
- 2Find Cover image in the Event details card.
- 3Click Choose a photo and pick a picture from your computer.
- 4Wait for the small preview to appear.
- 5Click Save changes at the bottom of the card. The photo is not applied until you save.
A wide picture, about 1600 x 900, looks best. The photo fills a wide banner at the top of your page, so the top and bottom edges may be cropped. Click Replace or Remove to change it, then save again.
Part 2Add a video and a countdown
- 1Paste the embed link for your video in Video URL. For YouTube, this is the link that contains the word embed, not the normal watch link.
- 2Tick Show a countdown to the event on the public page.
- 3Click Save changes.
The countdown shows Starts in with days, hours, minutes and seconds until your start time. It disappears by itself once the event starts.
Part 3Give this event its own logo and colors
Every event uses your company branding from Settings unless you override it here. Anything you leave blank keeps using the company branding.
- 1Scroll down the event page and click Event page branding to open it.
- 2Click Upload under Logo to use a different logo for this event.
- 3Upload a Favicon or a Background image if you want them.
- 4Tick Button color, Accent color or Background color and pick a color for each one you want to change.
- 5Check the Preview box to see how the title, card and button will look.
- 6Click Save branding.
The heading shows Custom for this event once an override is saved, or Using company branding when there is none. Button and heading text switch between black and white by themselves so they stay readable.
Part 4What your public page shows
- 1Look for the cover image across the top.
- 2Look for your company name, the event title, the subtitle, and the start date and time under it.
- 3Look for the countdown, if you turned it on.
- 4Look for About this event with your description, then the video.
- 5Look for a Schedule card listing each day, on multi-day events.
- 6Look for the ticket list with the checkout form. On a reserved seating event the seat map takes the full width and the details sit below it.
Tips
- You can upload PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF or ICO pictures. SVG files are not accepted. Large photos are shrunk for you, to 2000 pixels on the longest side, and the uploaded file must end up 3 MB or smaller.
- While the event is a draft, you can open its public page when signed in to your dashboard login. A yellow Draft preview. bar reminds you that only your team can see it.
- Your cover image is also the picture that appears when someone shares your event link on social media.
- Pick a subtle Background image so the text on top of it stays easy to read.
If something goes wrong
You see "Images must be 3 MB or smaller" or "That photo is too large to upload. Try a smaller one."
The file is still too big after shrinking. This mostly happens with GIFs, which are not shrunk. Save the picture as a JPG or PNG and upload it again.
You see "Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF or ICO image. SVG files are not accepted."
The file is not a picture format Ticket-Worx accepts. Export your logo or photo as a PNG or JPG and try again.
The video box on your page is blank or shows an error.
A normal watch link cannot be shown inside a page. Use the embed link from your video site's Share, then Embed option, and paste only the web address into Video URL.
You uploaded a cover image but the page did not change.
Uploading only loads the photo into the form. Click Save changes at the bottom of Event details to apply it.
